An eco-warrior obsessed with traveling and promoting conservation, Emily is Under Solen’s go-to girl for everything non-profit and environment related. Armed with a B.A in Environmental Journalism from Western Washington University, she has spent the last few years on the frontlines of conservation efforts, working to save Pacific Northwest wild salmon and restore flee-flowing rivers. When she’s not talking or writing about the environment, she’s out exploring it, and is known to seek out places where she can get in a good morning yoga session or trail run.

Anna Brones

A writer, editor and social media strategist with a love for travel, languages and the outdoors, Anna managed to combine all of her passions with Under Solen. She has a B.A. in International Affairs and French Studies from Lewis & Clark College and has lived in Sweden, France, Guadeloupe and the Pacific Northwest. She is perfectly aware that her need to always pronounce French words with a French accent comes off as pretentious.

Social Media Ninja: Karyn Fiebich

An inherently creative soul who thrives to intertwine the two elements that keep her heart a beat: design and digital networking. Karyn graduated from the University of Oregon with a B.A. in Digital Arts, to now pursue extending her education with a BFA degree in her beloved city of Portland at the White Stag. She is hyper obsessed with understanding society and applying reason with who we are as individuals within the macro; henceforth, being where design meets social media. She is fuels up on cups of coffee, dark chocolate (*hint) and twitter, naturally.

Photography Maven: Rachel Meyer

Rachel is a freelance photographer based in Portland, Oregon. With a camera in hand at age 8, photography has always played a central role in her life. After earning her BA in Fine Arts with a focus in photography from Lewis & Clark College, she moved to the hot and dusty town of Phoenix. A Pacific Northwest girl at heart, time in the Arizona sun wasn’t great for Rachel’s pale skin, but she did get the opportunity to work at iLLume Photography, honing her digital skills. Rachel believes in the power of a good glass of red wine, has an affinity for urban landscapes and has been known to hang out in questionable areas for the perfect shot.

Video Vixen Allie Bombach
Allie Bombach founded Red Reel Video Media, a full service production company specializing in marketing videos for the outdoor industry in 2008. In her role, Allie directs all facets of media production to provide each client with creative and effective marketing solutions. Allie combines expertise in videography with a savvy understanding of marketing to deliver products designed for social media promotion, in-house training, and website branding.

Allie earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado with distinctions in Marketing, Communications and Videography. When she’s not behind the scenes, Allie can be found appreciating the splendor of the Colorado Mountain West. She is an avid climber, cyclist, snowboarder and river rafter.
