This weekend we went out in support of 350.org with River of Action. What does 350 stand for? That’s the number in parts per million of carbon dioxide that our atmosphere can sustain and keep supporting life as we know it. Currently we’re at a little over 387 ppm.

On Saturday October 24, 2009 as part of the International Day of Climate Action, River of Action organized Portland-area kayakers to make a huge floating 350 on the river. Easier said than done, but somehow we succeeded and the results were awesome! Plus nothing’s more fun than getting to see a sasquatch and a salmon paddling kayaks.
