Let’s preface this by saying that our intelligently titled post was none of our doing. That credit goes 100% to Ed Foreman, but we figured there was nothing wrong in using it again. We did our fair share of celebrating Cinco de Mayo by investing in a multicolored pinata and throwing a little outdoor fiesta. Along with a whole lot of questionable candy, these little finger monsters were the prize for ripping the pinata to shreds.
But there are plenty of other things besides Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day that we’re celebrating this week. Here are just a few:
- Idaho Tide – An excellent essay in the summer Patagonia catalog that proves the company’s commitment to sticking to environmental causes and pushing for positive change.
- Dating Tips From Around the World – We love that our friends at Matador put this together, because who doesn’t need international dating tips?
- Eco Heroes – Roz Savage’s social media initiative officially launched this week, and it’s off to a great start. Get signed up and start working on your eco deeds.
- Canyonlands Backcountry Adventure with Mountain Exposure + Osprey – Our Canadian friends put together a rocking slideshow of our recent trip to Utah… and it made us just a little nostalgic.
- Build It. Bike It. Be Part of It. – For just $10 you can help the Adventure Cycling Association build what could become the largest bicycle route network on the planet: the U.S. Bicycle Route System. We think that’s definitely worth supporting.
Now get out and tell that influential female in your life (doesn’t even have to be your real mother) that she rocks your world!
